Founded in 1866, MCI has a long history of educating students with a wide range of abilities and interests. Our excellent faculty, staff and administration get to know our talented and diverse student body individually. It is within these nurturing relationships that students find here the skills needed to excel as future leaders, thinkers and global citizens. MCI was founded in 1866 and remains one of the oldest schools in the State of Maine. MCI is located in Pittsfield, Maine. Pittsfield is a beautiful, safe New England town whose down-to-earth citizens serve as host families to boarding students as well as avid supporters of MCI’s sports teams and cultural events.
MCI has about 450 students, 140 of which are residential. MCI takes pride in the several states and countries world-wide represented in the student body every year. MCI offers extensive choices for athletic, extracurricular and academic enrichment opportunities. MCI has State ranked music, drama and performing arts programs for the last 18 years consecutively. MCI hosts one of the first ESL programs established in Maine.
